Opinion. Observation. Application.

As an over view of our Signature Tour to the 30 sacred holy sites on our Holy Land Tour, I am using my “Bonus Days” blog to take you on a journey using the acrostic:  H.O.L.Y.L.A.N.D.P.I.L.G.R.I.M.A.G.E.

HEARING GOD SPEAK—Old Jaffe; Jonah running from the Lord & Peter at the right place at the right time.  A supreme contrast exists between Jonah’s running and Peter’s submitting—both occurring less than a half mile from each other—between the Port of Jaffe and Simon the Tanner’s house.  The Lord told Jonah to go 500 miles into the dessert and preach repentance to Nineveh.  (Approximately the geographical location of modern day, Mosul, Iraq).  God wanted that whole region and it was time.  If Jonah could have followed through with the mission and Jonah Chapter 4 NOT occurred (his “break-down”)—there is no telling what the Middle East could have become for God (and not the “religious spirit” of Islam).  Peter, on the other hand, did resist initially in Acts 10, using his own understanding of “nothing common or unclean,” but allowed the Holy Spirit’s “pressing in” to change his way of thinking.  HEARING GOD SPEAK…

Every day is a Bonus Day!

Much Love,
