22nd Day of 40

Today, Monday, October 12, 2020, is 22 days from the November 3, 2020, Election Day in the United States. God willing, today, Judge Amy Coney Barret will give her opening statement to the Judiciary Committee of the United States Senates, and thereby begin the often arduous journey to become the next Supreme Court Justice of the United States of America. What is the importance of Judge Barret being confirmed? She is a Constitutional purest who believes cases that come before the court are not laws to be judged upon by her own intellect, but should be discerned if the law before her meets the criteria of being a legitimate reflection of the original document of the Constitution of the United States of America. Further, right now the Supreme Court is equally divided–four verses four people. Four of the current members believe in only using the Constitution as their guide in determining a case and the other four believe in a “cultural” type adaptation of the Constitution. They believe the Constitution is more of a suggestion and the way we live as a culture is more of the call of law. Judge Barret’s presence would bring the Supreme Court balance back into the purest line of thought for first time in almost 75 years. THERE IS PLENTY TO PRAY ABOUT FOR THE NEXT 22 DAYS AND BEYOND. We need to pray that she gets affirmed by the Senate of the United States in the next 22 days before the who whole election gets decided so there is no doubt about her confirmation. This whole subject is part of why we are joining together in the “40 Day Window of the Watchmen.” During the 4 watches of the day–9 AM; Noon; 3 PM; 6 PM, let’s pray a prayer something like this: “FATHER, WE DECLARE OUR REPENTENCE OF OUR SINS; WE EXALT YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS; WE EXPRESS OUR THANKFULNESS; WE LIFT OUR NATION BEFORE….PLEASE:FORGIVE US,UNIFY US,HELP US,DIRECT US,HUMBLE US,HEAL US,REVIVE US,RENEW US….” As we pray, let’s include Judge Barret in our prayers–for wisdom; for clarity; for protection; for favor; and for her testimony of faith in Christ be light and salt into the lives of others. We are living in the days that could make a real difference for years to come. The vigor by which we pray during this time of confirmation will determine if we are able to push back the clouds of darkness and see some serious and long term turning from our past sins as a nation. Could God do this with out us praying? YES, HE COULD. GOD DOESN’T NEED US. Will He change the course we are on, if we don’t pray? In my opinion–no He won’t. Why would He change anything if we don’t care enough or aren’t disciplined enough to use the tools He already gave us to see change come about in our lives? WE HAVE THIS SYSTEM HE PROVIDED AT OUR DISPOSAL (Praying, listening, Jesus at the Right Hand of the Father Interceding, and His Spirit directing us)–why don’t we use it? Why don’t we put aside our laziness, distractions, and selfishness, and GET BUSY WITH IT (“IT = PRAYER”). I know this is a strong challenge, but these are desperate times. Times like this only come around once or twice in a life time. NOW IS THAT TIME! Now is a “Window” and we are the “Watchmen.” God help us!God Bless & Much Love, Marc & Marceil
